hmm reminds of that story... where a kid and his dad are walking along the train tracks and suddenly a scary black train passes them... the train which became the symbol of angst later on in this author's life, i cant remember his name tho. but yes. a black train of angst and depression, shooting forwards, unstoppable, following you throughout life.
