Ecstasy running off her skin
ruby eyes and cold fingers
sore throat and clouded mind
who can decipher the code
of what we leave behind
begging to stay in the now
the flighty touch of warm skin
like a drug and loneliness its dealer
every night a new sin, a new heart
never enough, never a start
the kiss goodbye always lasts longer
than the kisses of ecstasy
and the lips stay forever sore
aching for more, faded and numb
hunter and prey alike, struck dumb
ask no questions and pray
that someday, there is no goodbye
ruby eyes find a resting place
and cold fingers find warmth
and Thirst looses its Face.

I like it. The second stanza is really great, it has rhythm, flow and some really great parts. "like a drug and loneliness its dealer" is great, but the last two lines follow it so well too with an incredibly natural-sounding rhyme!
"the kiss goodbye always lasts longer"
That's interesting. We're nervous at first, doing things fast, trying to make sure it happens. And then when things end we linger, allowing a little more time, remembering. Trying to make sure there are no regrets? Or is it that we tend to remember the end of things, the bad parts, more than the good? Or that the kiss goodbye needs a few moments to properly conclude that chapter. An introduction is to capture intrest, an end needs to be longer. Anyway, it's interesting.
... or it always end too fast. we blink, and it's over...
thank you =)
